Residual current DeviceType A
Residual current monitoring
(RCM) is an additional safety system integrated in every DazeBox and DazeMax that constantly monitors the EV. In case of failure, the RCM prevents the wallbox from generating return currents that could harm the household electrical system.
In addition, the RCM allows the electrician to install in the electrical panel a Type A Residual-Current Device
simplifying the installation process and
avoiding surprises in the installation costs.
For every other wallbox without RCM, we instead recommend to install a Type B Residual-Current Device in order to make up for the minor protection of the electric system.
We wish to point out that a Type B Residual-Current Device can cost up to 10 times more than a Type A one.
